Thanks to the Weekend Cooking bloggers, I was finally nudged to set up a Pinterest account for the purpose of collecting recipes. It turns out that most of my Pinterest time has been spent looking at images of the world's great art, but anyway, here is an easy and delicious way to prepare brussel sprouts, posted by Katerina at her Diethood blog and then on Pinterest. Photo credit goes to Katerina.
Readers interested in cookbooks and baking, please take a look at my comments (not really a review) earlier this week, after reading through Bouchon Bakery by Thomas Keller and Sebastien Rouxel. If you would like to see some other recipes I've found on Pinterest over the past couple of weeks, click the Pinterest follow button on the sidebar to go to my Pinterest page.
Weekend Cooking is a feature of the Beth Fish Reads blog. Click for links to food posts by other bloggers. Usually you will find some great recipes, photography, cookbook reviews and other food-related posts.
I have recently developed a love of Brussels. This looks wonderful.

Elizabeth, my past prep of this vegetable had become kind of repetitive, and I was glad to find a new recipe.

We love roasted Brussels sprouts. My husband can't have bacon, so I usually finish them off by sauteeing them in a lemon-mustard sauce.

Joy, I know you are interested in health and fitness. Recently I read something about eating raw veggies in the cabbage family (like brussels) slowing the functioning of the thyroid. Not good for weight watchers. Odd that it should be claimed for raw but not cooked.

I need to try this. I have not had a lot of success in making brussels sprouts really tasty. Have a good week.

I'll be reading your thoughts on the Keller book. We love brussels sprouts too -- they are excellent with chestnuts too.

Brussels sproouts are my husband's favorite vegetable. I'm always looking for new ways of preparation. Thanks.

Roasting makes just about any kind of veggie yummy, although I can't remember the last time I had brussels sprouts. Might try making them this way!

Thanks, all, for stopping by. Beth, adding chestnuts sounds so good. I think with chestnuts, the bacon could be skipped and just a bit more olive oil added instead. Maybe a sprinkling of herbs.

Brussels are just not flying at our house. Husband hates them. I tried sneaking them on the table with a variety of disguises. Men...
I do enjoy a roasted vegetable though.

Yay! Glad you've found Pinterest. I love it for seasonal party planning - it's a great way to 'organize the internet.' And of course, it's great for keeping track of recipes, as you say. Those brussels sprouts look amazing. YUM!

Tina, my family are not too fond of sprouts either, but this recipe was well received. Cecilia, Pinterest is turning out to be a lot of fun. Even just looking at beautiful images can be relaxing.

I have mixed feelings about Brussels sprouts. I've had them be amazing, but never when I cook them myself!
